Thanksgiving

‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’ – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

There is ALWAYS reasons to be thankful. Most likely we know it intellectually but sometimes is hard to believe it. Especially when we look at the circumstances and brokenness of the world we live in. Being involved in the type of work we do with Amparo is not hard to forget there is always reasons to be thankful. Seeing and feeling pain day in and day out we can and probably will forget we can always be thankful.

Through the years we have learnt that when we take shelter in God’s character, who Jesus is and the everlasting promise we hold in Him is when true, deep and lasting thankfulness will come. It will flow from knowing and trusting Jesus.

‘Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!’ – 1 Chronicles 16:34

Then we can start enjoying perspective. ‘This too shall pass’, even when we don’t understand it or it doesn’t make sense and at the end of the day, the every day and the final day of times, His perfect will, will prevail and be done.

‘The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.’ – 2 Peter 3:9

Today we want to share with you some recollections from 2022. To feed our thankfulness and remember together all this happened because of God’s goodness and love and his promise.
