March 2023- Keeping up with important events: First event of the year and Fathers Day in Bolivia
PREVENTION PROGRAM
FIRST EVENT OF THE YEAR!
It was a comprehensive health event. We received 63 children between ages 4 and 15.

PACKED!!!
Would be a great word to describe the last month at the Prevention Program. It was a month to sink in the 100% growth the program had versus 2022. We are full on learning what it means to have 53 girls in the program. Both a blessing and a challenge. Please pray we serve well all these beautiful girls.

MORE ROOM TO GROW
After the old school census we did in February we estimate there is around 25 more girls we could serve. But currently we don’t have the capacity to do it. Please join us in prayer as in the following months we will start to plan how to grow our capacity in 2024 to be able to reach these new girls while we continue our one-on-one deep style of service.
RESTORATION PROGRAM
BOLIVIAN FATHER’s DAY
March 19th we celebrate Father’s day in Bolivia. This is a particularly sensitive day/week for our girls considering that all of them have been abandoned, and several abused, by their earthly fathers. The days prior to the 19th we had a heavy environment in the home and several girls opening up about traumatic events within their families.
Praise the Lord we can hear, suffer and mourn with the girls as they journey into a new future. One of our biggest challenges, as Amparo staff, is to represent our heavenly Father in such a godly way that the girls can come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior and be adopted by God. Please pray specially for the men in our ministry regarding this.
Here you have a few pictures from the school celebrations. It is customary in Bolivia to throw big celebrations for every ‘especial day’. Diego and I had the privilege to attend with the girls and take them for ice-cream afterwards. The girls go to 3 different schools and are in 6 different grades, so it was a lot of hours of school events in a couple of days jajaja

FULL HOUSE!
Since our first graduate left the home we had 11 girls at the home. Yesterday, April 3rd, we welcomed ! A swea new girl et an extroverted 13 year older. She was brought to us by the Yapacani’s Childhood Services Office (Government Office which takes care of Children affairs). She arrived just in time to celebrate her 14th birthday with us this Saturday 8th of April. Please pray for her transition into our home. She is coming from a background of a lot of sexual abuse, neglect and very promiscuous family atmosphere.
