Because of the close walk we can have with the girls who are at our home, we get to savor God’s restoration firsthand.
Lila is the oldest of three sisters; all three sisters are in our Girls’ Home. Their dad abandoned them when they were young and their mother turned to prostitution because it was the only way she felt she could provide for the girls. Not only was Lila a survivor of sexual abuse, but being the oldest, she was also forced to be her sisters’ mother from early childhood while her mother was working the streets. The girls underwent trauma, bad nutrition, and had no nurturing in their lives., They were left with severe learning disabilities and lagged behind the development of other girls their ages. When we discovered Lila we invited her to live in our Girls’ Home, in November 2019. We knew it was going to take a miracle for her to overcome her, speech problems and learning problems.
Yet, our God delights in working in mysterious ways and making masterpieces of shattered lives. Our Girls’ Home staff invested countless hours in our beloved Lila. Because of how our homes have 12 girls living as a family, she was able to see how healthy families respond to one another for the first time. Each family member receives individual care along with biblical discipleship, psychological counseling, cognitive stimulation, and tutoring classes for all school subjects. But most importantly, she had all the love the staff and volunteers had to offer.
In October of 2021 we were blown away when we received a phone call from her high school informing us that she was on the honor roll!. She was one of the top three students in her grade! When we heard the news we all celebrated.
It is a gift from heaven to see such a story of restoration.
‘I delight to sit in [Your] shade, and [Your] fruit is sweet to my taste. [You] have taken me to the banquet hall, and [Your] banner over me is love. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Now to Him who is able to keep [us] without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [us] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]—To the one and only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it).’

You make a difference in the lives of these girls!
First we want to thank you for all of your support. We have the pleasure of seeing the girls every day, but none of it would be possible without you. Your gifts are what made Sofi and Lila’s transformational stories possible. It is our goal to reach more girls in 2022. For every girl we help, many go without because of how great the needs are here in Bolivia. We would love to expand our outreach program but to do so will require more partners giving sacrificially to make an eternal difference. Will you answer the call in 2022?
Galatians 6:2 says, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Will you join us to be the hands and feet of Christ in Bolivia?
